QUV/spray accelerated weathering tester (Make: Q-Lab Corporation, Model: QUV/spray, USA) simulates the adverse effects of weathering conditions on the average mechanical and electrical properties of materials. It is a very useful equipment to develop better materials with enhanced environmental assisted damage resistance capabilities and service life.
Test sample considerations:
1. Sample dimensions must fit in a slot of 95 mm x 63 mm.
2. Sample should not react under the influence of UV radiations, high temperature and
moisture conditions.
3. The user must have a program to be used at the time of testing. The program should
detail the time, intensity of radiation, temperatures, flow rate etc. Also, the total
numbers of cycles to be repeated are required.
