CMPIR

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Ropar, is delighted to announce the launch of the Collaborative Master’s Project with IIT Ropar "CMPIR" initiative. This program is designed to promote academic collaboration between the IIT Ropar Mechanical Department and other institutions across India.

Through the CMPIR program, students currently pursuing their Master’s degree at other institutes can collaborate with IIT Ropar faculty members on their ongoing Master’s projects. This collaboration not only strengthens academic exchange but also allows students to access and utilise the state-of-the-art research facilities at IIT Ropar.

We request faculty members to kindly encourage their interested students to apply for participation in this collaborative program.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an M.Tech./M.E. program and must have successfully completed the first year.

2. At least one semester of study should remain at the time of application. 

3. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the parent institute or research supervisor is required.

4. Selection will be based on the alignment of the student’s research interest with the department and the availability of suitable supervision.

• The applications will be processed on a periodic basis. So candidates are advised not to wait for the last date.

• No financial assistance will be provided by IIT Ropar under this program.
