CMPIR

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Ropar, is pleased to announce the launch of the Collaborative Master Project with IIT Ropar “CMPIR”. In this program, if you are already pursuing a master's degree at any institute in India, you can enhance the quality of your master's project with the help of the expertise at IIT Ropar. In this program, you will be mentored by one of the department faculty for your entire master project duration. Further, you also get the opportunity to utilize the state of the art research facilities for your master’s project work.

We invite the application of motivated students in the CMPIR program subjected to the following requirements: 

1. You should be already pursuing M.Tech. and must have completed the first year successfully. Further, at the time of application at least one semester should be remaining in the completion of the M.Tech. 

2. You should be able to produce the NOC from your institute and your research supervisor from the parent institute. 

3. You are required to stay at IIT Ropar for a minimum of three months. Note that the hostel accommodation is subjected to availability. 

4. The department has final authority in deciding the selection of the candidates based on the CV and the research interest. No further communication in that regard will be entertained. 

5. No financial assistance will be provided from the IIT Ropar.
